![]() Some applications do not run through the appropriate process to ask the user to give them the appropriate permissions when installed. Apple is not actually doing anything but taking full advantage of Unix. So you might want to check on the permissions. Unix is very good and segregating applications based on the permissions assigned to users and applications. Same with PhotosĪs stated above, Apple is enhancing the security on the OS - and that is going to be a common theme. Its recognising the camera but can't access it. Problem is Image Capture is also not working. If Big Sur prevents X Raw Studio recognizing the tethered camera then you’re unfortunately stuck. ![]() ![]() I’ll say though I’ve granted that to both Lightroom and Capture One and they’ve failed to read my Nikon and Fuji cameras like before I’ve had to fall back on image capture to import directly from camera. One thing you might check is if you’ve granted X Raw Studio full disk access, including external drives, under system preferences, security & privacy. Big Sur’s tightened the security substantially.
